giving back is part of who we are.
Our life experiences and personal journeys have inspired us to get involved in causes championing people – especially those promoting better mental health and wellbeing in hospitality.
we’re involved and invested.
Our founder Craig is a Patron for Hospitality Action, a charity that’s been taking strides to support as many hospitality people as possible since 1837.
Since the beginning of 2020 alone, Hospitality Action has awarded £5,000,000 in grants to those in need including 15,000 grants to families and 1,786 winter fuel grants. They’ve answered over 38,000 helpline calls and delivered 11,306 counselling sessions.
Whether you’re dealing with bereavement or bullying, physical or mental ill health challenges, poverty or addiction, Hospitality Action is here to help.
we walk the walk.
Walk for Wellbeing began 6 years ago. Craig had the simple idea that walking would bring people together, open up conversations around mental health, and at the same time raise funds for Hospitality Action. He gave Sean Wheeler a call to share the vision and ask for thoughts and help. Sean was immediately on board, and the very first Walk for Wellbeing came to life.
Since then, Walk for Wellbeing has grown into the largest hospitality walk in the UK, involving thousands of people and raising a remarkable £500,000 for Hospitality Action.
Last year, Craig gifted the brand to the team at Hospitality Action, and they continue to take it from strength to strength. Craig remains closely involved, as a strategic advisor, steer and spokesperson. And mum continues as lead partner and host of the London walk.
Craig is incredibly proud of what Walk for Wellbeing has become. But most importantly, of the thousands of hospitality people it has helped, through the vital work of Hospitality Action. Because when we come together around a cause, we can achieve the remarkable.
Walk for Wellbeing returns once again in October 2026, and we’d love you to get involved. To find out more, contact fundraising@hospitalityaction.org.uk or visit Hospitality Action’s website.
Craig is an active supporter of Kelly’s Cause, a charity on a mission to create a mentally healthy hospitality industry for all, through Mental Health First Aid training, policy consultation and community.
mum is an official supporter of Only a Pavement Away, which connects forward-thinking hospitality employers and charities working with prison leavers, veterans, and people experiencing homelessness to help place them into long-term, stable employment.
Craig is an Ambassador for Saira Hospitality, a non-profit transforming the way hotels connect with communities by partnering to create pop-up schools that provide local people with the knowledge and skills they need to build a career in hospitality.
